I don't know why Lauryn Hill's get-ups still surprise me, but this one all I can say is damn. The ecclectic singer performed during the Rock the Bells Festival at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA yesterday (August 23). She performed some of her hits, including "Doo Wop (That Thing)" and Ready Or Not". Her performance was much anticipated and she received rave reviews. I just wish she would tone down a little. But either way, do ya thing Lauryn. Props to Rap-Up for the flicks.
Foxy Brown is busting out........literally. The raunchy rapper did a rare performance (with Fendi bag in tow) at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in NYC yesterday (July 25) and lets just say she shoulda asked SOMEBODY. She rocked the mic wearing a smedium one-piece and it was just not a good look for her. Nevertheless, she performed some of her throwbacks including "Get You Home", "Hot Spot" and "Oh Yeah" with her special guest Spragga Benz. Cormega and AZ were also in the building and hit the stage. Just last week, Foxy aka Inga Marchand was arrested for allegedly violating a protection order.
Bow Wow and ex-girlfriend Angela Simmons attended the Trina Turk 2011 Fashion Show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim at the Raleigh in Miami Beach earlier today. The two sat at the front row and apparently had a lot to "talk" about. It's no secret they have a past relationship that stems from a few years back. It's good to see them still cordial.

Christina Milian, who is estranged from husband Terius "The Dream" Nash, was spotted smiling for the paparazzi as she picked up her nephew at a daycare in Los Angeles yesterday (July 13). Not only was she still sporting her six-carat wedding ring, peep the Christian Louboutin boots. She eventually decided to go barefoot -- perhaps the boots were killin' her feet. I see you C-Mili. Hypothetically, if you were estranged from your husband -- would you still wear the ring?
Rapper Eve was spotted arriving at Trousdale Lounge in West Hollywood last night. She looks very good, love the outfit and shoes. Eve's "Behind The Music" recently aired on VH1 and I know I personally got a better understanding of who she was. If you haven't seen it yet, make sure you catch it when it airs again.
Lauren London and her mean shoe game attended Drake's listening party in New York. The Life Files caught up with her and she talked about her favorite Drake tracks, being a mom and her upcoming VH1 show with LisaRaye and Stacey Dash.
50 Cent had the media buzzing when his shocking weight loss pics circulated the net for his role as a football player stricken with cancer in "Things Fall Apart". But that's a thing of the past and he performed at The Pearl concert theater at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas (June 6). He got his weight back....and then some it looks like. I don't know, I'd have to see him without all the excess clothing. His face looks chunkier, but hey I'd rather see him like this anyday.
Talk about a transformation! Rapper 50 Cent lost 60 pounds for his starring role in "Things Fall Apart". The movie is about a football player who is diagnosed with cancer. It took a total of 9 weeks for him to lose the weight, which was based on a strict liquid diet and three hour a day treadmill run. WOW!!
Talk about a change! Janet Jackson did the big cut. She was spotted leaving Nobu in London yesterday (May 19) with her short tresses. I doubt if her hair was that short under the weaves. Do we like it?
Drake's "When I Was 17" is scheduled to premiere this Saturday at 11am on MTV. This picture is crazy. He definitely had the nerd thing going on back in the day and I'm sure he will get clowned by many people when this episode airs. Many people know Drake as "Jimmy" from Degrassi, but when he was 17, he was also an ebay guru. An ebay guru??? *Kanyeshrug*
Gucci Mane is now a free man. The rapper was released from Fulton County Jail in Atlanta shortly after midnight on Wednesday (May 12) after serving six months behind bars for violating his probation on an assault charge. He was welcomed home by family and friends including Shawty Lo, and issued the following statement to the awaiting press:
“Unfortunately, my incarceration also came at a pivotal point in my career, just as my first major label album was dropping. I was forced to miss what should have been one of the proudest moments of my life. This is something that I will make sure never happens again. My time in jail was trying, but I grew from it and am now a stronger and better person. I want to continue on a positive track and truly focus on being a role model to my fans and my community. I am looking towards the future with a newfound respect and appreciation for the law and a strong dedication to my music and my career.”
He’s already planning his next album, The Appeal, due later this summer, and will perform on June 6 at Hot 97’s annual Summer Jam in New Jersey.
MTV has a new show premiering this Saturday, May 1st at 11am titled “When I was 17″ which features Trey Songz. In the episode he talks about dropping out of high school in his hometown of Petersburg,VA to attend Barber School. There, he learned about hair care, cutting hair and waxing eyebrows. His services where so in demand that he ended up cutting all of his friends hair for prom.
Kobe Bryant's parents sat courtside at the Lakers vs Oklahoma City Thunder Playoff Game 5 last night. Kobe's mom, Pam looked amazing. I would have liked to see Papa Bryant without the glasses, it's an arena anyway. *Kanyeshrug*

LisaRaye stepped out in white, as usual, for the launch party of her new reality show "The Real McCoy" (April 6). Joined by her 19-year old daughter Kai and a few celebrity friends, including Lance Gross, Brandy, Ray-J and Tiffany "New York" Pollard. LisaRaye hosted the party at the Standard Hotel in LA. I don't know about you, but I damn sure will be watching.
