In Case You're Wondering.....

...why I haven't been posting, it's because I have decided to give MissAmazin.com a rest but only for a little while. There are some new wonderful things going on in my life right now and as much as I love my website and blogging period......maintaining a website is very time consuming and I want to be able to dedicate the necessary time needed. Right now, I'm unable to do that. 

Also, after this brief hiatus, I will be relocating to Wordpress. Blogger is fantastic, but Wordpress is a little more up the alley I want to go with the renewal of the website. Consequently, I may have to start with a NEW DOMAIN, but just like I built a following for this site, I can do it again.

Monica is in love once again and spent some quality time with her new boo, Shannon Brown (who was featured in her latest music video). The beautiful couple enjoyed the sun and crystal clear water in Cabo San Lucas while Monica is taking a break from the "Pleasure, Pain & Passion" tour. I'm so happy for her.

I Never Thought This Until Now, But Serena Williams Is A Bad B*tch

Call me crazy, but I never thought Serena Williams was eye candy....maybe because she always looked so manly to me. But after seeing these recent pictures, I beg to differ. Williams attended Fashion's Night Out: The Show at Lincoln Center in NYC yesterday (Sept. 7) and looked amazing. Her cream dress and killer spiked Christian Louboutins were a good look. I can't put my finger on it, but something looks different about her.....and it's a good different. Get it bxtch!!

Brandy Readies For 'DWTS', New Couple Alert...Kanye West x Selita Ebanks??

Brandy, 31, has been hard at work readying herself for her stint as a contestant on the 11th season of "Dancing With The Stars". Pictured with her dance partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy in the dance studio and out to dinner at the Japanese eatery Katsuya, she admits that she's not the best dancer. "Dancing has never been one of my strongest points. With this show, you have to do things you’ve never done before, and I’ve never done anything like this. It’s a whole new experience," she told UsMagazine.

Nevertheless, she is very excited about the whole dancing experience and is even more excited to get her sexy on. "I'm so into it! I know I'm never going to look as sexy as I will on this show," she also stated.

The new season of Dancing With The Stars begins Sept. 20 on ABC!

 

Meanwhile, Kanye West, fresh off a break-up with Amber Rose looked extremely happy to be in the company of Victoria Secret supermodel Selita Ebanks at the U.S. Open inside the Arthur Ashe stadium in Queens, NY yesterday (September 1). West and Ebanks, who has dated Nick Cannon and Maxwell, were all smiles as they watched Andy Roddick play....along with "Gossip Girl" friends Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr. Do I smell a new couple?

 

T.I. & Tiny Arrested For Drug Possession

According to a number of sources, rapper T.I. and his new wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle were arrested last night in West Hollywood and charged with possession of a controlled substance. 

Clifford "T.I." Harris, who is currently serving a three-year probation after he pleaded guilty in May of 2009, for attempting to purchase machine guns and silencers before the BET Awards in 2007, was pulled over with Tiny after deputies smelled marijuana coming from the Maybach car they were driving.

The pair, who were just married this July in Miami, were taken into custody by L.A. County Sheriff Deputies for the infraction.

While details are sketchy as of press time, the arrest could impact T.I. greatly.  T.I. was just released from prison March of this year and currently has a #1 movie, Takers.

The official album cover for Faith Evans' new LP has been reveiled. Her 'Something About Faith' album, which will be independently released, hits stores October 5th. The cover looks kinda blahhh to me though. I really think she could have come up with something a lot better. What do you think?

Celebs On The Scene: Ashanti On Red Carpet, Kelis @ Luxx In London

Ashanti came out of hiding to attend the 20th Annual NAACP Theatre Awards at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles yesterday (August 30). She won the Spirit Award for her role in "The Wiz" and dedicated the award to her late grandmother.

Meanwhile Kelis, dipped in shimmery gold and leopard, hit up club Luxx last night in London. She was spotted leaving the club around 1am. Earlier on in the evening, she dined at the club's Cielo restaurant. 

'Takers' Takes # 1 Spot @ Box Office

It was all about the "taking" this weekend as the number 1 spot at the box office was claimed by none other than "Takers". The movie, which stars Clifford "T.I." Harris, Idris Elba, Michael Ealy and Chris Brown had an amazing weekend grossing $20.5 million. "The Last Exorcism" came in a close second with $20.4 million.

If you have not seen this movie, you need to. I saw it over the weekend and it was excellent. T.I. has this to say about the movie's success:

“I am now the star and producer of the number one film in the country. We were fortunate enough—due to the support of the fans showing up and showing out at the theaters, selling out show after show after show—we were fortunate enough to wind up at the top of the pile for this week.”

New Music: Kanye West (feat. Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Bon Iver, Nicki Minaj) - "Monster"

'Monster' is the first single from the upcoming collaborative project between Kanye West and Jay-Z and also features Rick Ross, indie-artist Bon Iver and the beast Nicki Minaj. Nicki's verse is stupid sick on the track. I guess Kanye is keeping his "good music fridays" promise.

A movie as big as Takers (which was released in theaters today) only deserves an even bigger celebration. So the celebs partied the night away at T.I.'s official private after party in Atl (August 25). In the building were T.I. (of course), his new wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, Teyana Taylor, Young Jeezy, Christina Milian, Toya Carter (with new fiance Memphitz) and even the Mayor of Atlanta Kasim Reed. Props to FreddyO for the flicks.

 

Lil Kim Gets Glam For Photoshoot To Promote New Hair Salons

With her cousin Katrise Jones, Lil Kim got all glammed up for a Derek Blanks photoshoot to promote Jones' new chain of hair salons. Lil Kim and her cousin plan to open up more salons across the nation. Jones already has a chain of Salon Se Swa spas in North Carolina. She plans to open up more in that area and in Atlanta. Katrise Jones opened her first Salon Se Swa back in 2004 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Spotted: Beyonce Arriving @ Club 55 With Hubby Jay-Z & A Very Colorful Get-Up

Beyonce, in her interesting outfit enjoyed the fresh air with hubby Jay-Z as they hopped off their yacht and arrived at Club 55 in Saint Tropez, France. The hip-hop power-couple have been enjoying their vacation. Bey went with the colorful look....and I aint mad. O_o

FYI, the over-the top yacht Beyonce and Jay have been cruisin' in during their vacay (The Altitude) costs $377,000 a week to rent out and includes a gym, six cabins and a jacuzzi. Must be nice!!

Timbaland: "I Didn't Know What People Were Talking About", Denies Suicide Attempt

The media went crazy today with reports that Grammy-award winning music producer/artist Timbaland made a suicide attempt because someone stole his $2 million watch. His family called police after he went missing following the theft, according to TMZ. When I heard this, I thought it was absolutely ludicrous but Timbo is denying any attempts at ending his life. After he was located by police, Timbaland called in and spoke with Ryan Seacrest on 102.7 KIIS FM’s "On-Air With Ryan Seacrest".

"I don’t know what happened. To be honest with you, I don’t even know what people were talking about. The only thing that I did was take a drive to figure out how to handle it. I tell people that if my mom ain’t calling or my brother or my best friend, then ain’t nothing to worry about. Why would I commit suicide? I could buy what was stolen. You know it’s close in your family when it’s things in your house."

Timbaland also stated that it WASN'T a watch that was stolen and that he has been a victim of theft a number of times.

R.I.P. Aaliyah, Her Memory Lives On

The tragic loss of R&B superstar Aaliyah still hits many (including myself) to this day. On August 25, 2001, she was tragically killed in a plane crash in the Bahamas just as she finished up a video for one of my favorite songs, "Rock The Boat". It has been 9 years since we lost this angel but she will continue to be in our hearts. At 22, she touched the lives of so many people and she may not be with us physically but her spirit lives on forever.

Soulja Boy Is A DumbA**, Kat Stacks......Really? + His Album Gets Pushed Back

The internet went nuts last night when this video was posted on WorldStarHipHop.com of Kat Stacks at the InterContinental Hotel in Atlanta with Soulja Boy. Kat Stacks knows exactly what the hell she's doing and he fell right into her trap.....like a puppet. He may be 20-years old but I thought he at least had more sense than this. I know Kat is an easy f*ck but damn Soulja. And she exposes that he "snorts coke" AND that he can't f*ck. Damn, damn, damn!! Rat Stacks will do just about anything to keep her name is somebody's mouth.

Meanwhile, Soulja Boy latest album, The DeAndre Way has been pushed back. The original release date was October 5 and now it will be coming out a month later on November 2. Hmmm.

 

Damn! Ciara's Album Pushed Back For The 4th Time

Ciara can't get a break, releasing her album anyway. Her latest LP, Basic Instinct first had an August release....now it has been pushed back for the 4th time. I've never heard of this f*ckery before. What is the label trying to say? The new date for her album release has been pushed to October 19th, but reports have speculated that it may be October 26th. An official announcement on the new date is expected from Jive/LaFace later this week! 

That hasn't stopped Cici from promoting her album. She has been performing and is shooting 2 new videos for "Gimme Dat" & "Speechless".
