Brandy Settles Lawsuit From Fatal Crash
R&B songstress Brandy has settled another lawsuit stemming from a fatal 2006 car accident. Singer, Brandy Norwood, settled with Mallory Ham Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court. Ham survived the crash after suffering facial injuries including a severely broken nose. It is not yet known how much money Ham settled for. The accident occurred on a Los Angeles freeway in December of 2006.
A mother of two children was killed when Brandy’s car struck hers. Just last month, the singer agreed to pay each child 300-thousand-dollars as compensation for the loss of their parent. The victim’s husband’s lawsuit is still pending after he rejected a one-point-two-million-dollar settlement in February.
Brandy was not charged after the LAPD determined there wasn’t enough evidence to suggest vehicular manslaughter. Brandy said in a previous interview, quote, “It was a situation that changed my life forever.”
